Established in 1993, TNL Radio Network, the first private radio station in Sri Lanka, has rapidly expanded to a network comprising three immensely successful radio stations. Our two English-language radio stations, TNL Rocks and Lite FM together easily capture the largest audience share in the English listenership market. Our recently launched Sinhala language radio station Rhythm FM, with its upbeat and continuous music format, has been rated the fastest growing station in the media industry as a whole. *

Our brand does not end there. Our passion to embrace new technology has resulted in TNL Radio Network being at the forefront of many areas. Naturally then, when the Internet arrived we were the first radio station in Asia to get on the web, as far back as 1995. Today our websites, (www.tnlrocks.com, www.litefm.me, www.rhythmfm.me, www.tnl.me, www.newsradio.me, www.tnlonstage.com) with audio streaming, listener-interactive promotions, the TNL VIP loyalty programme, and listener music research tools have an incredibly high hit rate and have become stand-alone brands.

TNL’s events too, have earned a position as a brand of their own. For example TNL Onstage, TNL Rocks’ annual search for the best undiscovered musical talent in the country, the TNL Big Quiz, a monthly pub quiz event, Lite FM’s Flashback Show, the stations signature retro show, and Rhythm FM’s weekly Rhythm Night, a musical evening with a “band of the week”, draw in significant crowds consistently.
